New look X Factor group The Risk have said they will be dedicating their first live performance in their current set up to former bandmate Ashley John-Baptiste. The 20-year-old announced on Thursday he no longer wanted to take part in the show and quit the group.
He was quickly replaced by Ashford Campbell from Nu Vibe, who became the first act to be eliminated from the show earlier this month.
Writing on Twitter, the group said: "We can officially dedicate tonight’s performance to Ashley, you’ll be missed buddy, we just hope you find happiness in whatever u do. [sic]"
The group's leader singer Charlie Healy later added: "Really sad to lose Ashley guys, he’s an amazing person and singer, but he just didn’t feel right in himself. Will Miss him. X
"However you have to roll with the punches in this show and business, and we couldn’t have picked a better replacement than @AshfordCampbell"
