Former X Factor winner Alexandra Burke will return to the show tonight as a judge! The 2008 winner will be standing in for an ill Kelly Rowland on tonight's panel as she critiques the remaining contestants in this evening's Halloween special.
It was confirmed yesterday that girls’ mentor Kelly would not be attending this weekend's live shows, having been grounded in the states by doctors after suffering from a throat infection.
While there were many rumours of a replacement judge - including Nicole Scherzinger, Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell - show bosses have decided to call on former winner Alexandra Burke to judge the acts in tonight's show.
Alexandra won the competition back in 2008, mentored by former judge Cheryl Cole, and has gone on to sell millions of records across Europe. Her debut album Overcome has sold more than 700,000 copies in the UK alone.
Alex said in a statement this afternoon: "I'm really excited to be a guest judge on The X Factor this evening. As someone who has been part of the show all the way to the final, I can't wait to share my opinions. I'll be there fighting for the girls tonight!"
It's a surprise choice but sure to make for interesting viewing tonight!
