X Factor judge Kelly Rowland has said she's been "in tears all week" over her sickness which has ruled her out of this weekend's live shows. The US singer has been grounded in LA after doctor's ordered her not to fly due to a sore throat.
It's not the worst condition in the world, but Kelly revealed: "I'm so sick — I have no idea what is wrong with me, but I have the worst sore throat.
"I've been in tears all week. It got so bad that I stopped eating and drinking and got so dehydrated the doctor put me on a drip.
"Even now I can't swallow anything — not even my own saliva. The doctors don't even really know what's wrong, either. They say whatever I have is extremely rare."
Speaking to The Sun today, Kelly insisted however she had to make the trip: "I had some very important personal meetings I'd had in the diary for a year.
"But I've been so sick I even had to postpone them. Since I got off the plane I've been laid out."
And the former Destiny's Child songstress insisted she was still in touch with her acts - Janet Devlin, Sophie Habibis and Misha B - "every day" about tonight's performances.
She said: "We chose the songs at the start of the week and I've been getting recordings sent to me of how they're doing. They are doing so well, they all need to step out of their comfort zone.
"I have been telling everyone in America how talented they are. I was so excited about Halloween week, but now I can't be there."
