X Factor boss Simon Cowell has reportedly reassured Louis Walsh that his job on the show is safe, following tabloid reports he was set to get the axe. The Sun reported yesterday that the Irish music mogul was to be replaced on the panel next year.
It came as a surprise to us, as we've felt Louis Walsh has done well so far this year, having not managed to compare one of the singers to a black comedian as yet.
Saving Kitty Brucknell on Sunday's results show also saw helped the 54-year-old to win us over and it seems like Simon agrees.
He supposedly told Louis: "You have my word that your job is safe."
Speaking to DigitalSpy, the insider added: "Louis was bemused to see the Sun story, but after eight years on the show he's not concerned at all, most years the papers say he is for the chop but he's still the last judge standing.
However another source insisted nothing was for certain until next year, saying: "Louis, along with the other judges, is concentrating on the current series of The X Factor. Contracts for the next series are never discussed until the new year."
