X Factor 2011: Sami Brookes blames exit on Louis Walsh's song choice!

X Factor 2011 reject Sami Brookes has blamed her exit from the show on Louis Walsh and his karaoke song choice. Speaking on the Xtra Factor, Sami said she 'begged and cried' for the Irish music mogul to change the song.

Sami had been criticised by the judges for her cruise ship numbers, and did little to stop the bad comments as she performed Cher's 'If I Could Turn Back Time' on Saturday's show.

But speaking on spin-off show Xtra Factor after her elimination last night, Sami said she didn't want to perform the track.

She revealed: "I expected [my elimination] from last night's performance. I've got a lot more to give. I was given the wrong songs - I begged him, I cried. I didn't want to sing Cher.

"I'm current. I'm 30 years old, I'm not 70, so I was never given the right song choices. That I'm gutted about, but this is the best show, the biggest show. What a platform - what a stepping stone."

But even when given the chance to sing a choice of her own song in the sing-off, Sami couldn't help herself but perform another karaoke classic, Aretha Franklin's Natural Woman.

Meanwhile after being sent home, the 31-year-old 'mum' of the group added: "Will someone make sure Janet Devlin and all the girls are getting their vitamins and someone's washing their clothes?" she said. "Because I worry about the girls."
