X Factor presenter Dermot O'Leary has admitted he misses Cheryl Cole on the show, saying the Geordie beauty brought a "calming influence" to the show. Speaking to the Daily Mail, the hunky host revealed the new panel were taking the show very seriously!
Dermot said of the new judges: "They're fantastic, but they take it so seriously! To be fair to Gary Barlow, he's the best singer and songwriter in the industry, so he's got to produce a credible finalist.
"Can you imagine if we got to the final show and he had to unveil someone who couldn't sing? It couldn't happen!"
But despite the praise, Dermot confessed there was one person he was missing from the old panel.
He admitted: "I miss Cheryl because I used to have a cup of tea in her dressing room and she was a very calming influence; and I miss Dannii because she had become a real friend.
"I miss Simon's influence and presence because you raise your game when he's around. Though things are more on time now without him - I remember one Bootcamp where we were about to start filming and Simon was missing, and I went to find him.
"It turned out he was in the bath! I mean, I like a bath as much as the next person, but there's a time and a place, isn't there?"
