X Factor 2011: Matt Cardle tipped to be dropped by end of the year

It's not looking good for Mat Cardle, with bookies offering odds as short as 11/10 that he'll be dropped before the end of the year. The former X Factor winner, who has been on some sort of PR suicide mission since winning the show, is currently signed to a joint deal between Simon Cowell's Syco label and Columbia Records.

Matt previous boasted: “You’ve got people like Kings of Leon, John Mayer and Bruce Springsteen on Columbia, as opposed to Syco where you’ve got your Cher Lloyds and your One Directions. Columbia is a real artist’s label.”

But it seems as though Matt's time as a "real artist" could be short lived, with bookies William Hills offering a tempting 11-10 Simon Cowell drops the singer from his label.

It could make Matt a bigger flop than Steve Brookstein...
