X Factor rejects Nu Vibe admit they couldn't compete with The Risk

The Risk

Axed X Factor group Nu Vibe have confessed they weren't able to compete with fellow boy group The Risk on the show, saying the other boys were better than them vocally. Nu Vibe became the first victims of the public vote last night, after being sent home after performing in the sing-off alongside Frankie Cocozza.

The group had come under fire from the judges on Saturday night after opening the show with a less than tuneful performance of 'With or Without You', with Gary Barlow saying the group had "no vibe."

Speaking about their departure, the group said: “You’ve got The Risk and they’re amazing vocally and we had to compete with that... that was our downfall. I think maybe we weren’t as great vocally.”

Talking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning, the boys revealed that Tulisa was "devastated" by their exit last night.

"She was gutted, she was devastated that we’d been voted off by the judges," she said. "We’re grateful to have had this experience and to have met her, because she’s an amazing mentor.

"She was always round the house, cooking for us all, sitting down with each group and getting to know us all."
