X Factor 2011 judges need to be more mean, says vocal coach Yvie Burnett

X Factor 2011 judges

Former X Factor vocal coach Yvie Burnett has said that the X Factor 2011 judges are being too nice, and need to be more honest with the contestants. The Scottish singing aid, who worked with the contestants on the show for the previous four years, said the panel needed to be meaner.

“The only way I could fault the new judges is that they never seem to say anything negative," she told the Daily Record. “I’d like to see them being mean if that’s what is needed. Being so complimentary doesn’t do anyone any favours so it will be interesting to see how long that lasts.

“They are all going to have to stop worrying about upsetting people. ”

And Yvie didn't seem too impressed with he contestants, adding: “I have to say at the moment, there’s not an awful lot between the contestants.”

With Gary Barlow praising Frankie Cocozza's horrid performance last night, we can't help but agree.
