X Factor 2011: Gary Barlow feels "guilty" after changing Frankie Cocozza's song

X Factor judge Gary Barlow has confessed to feeling "guilty" about making a last minute song change for his act Frankie Cocozza this weekend. The judges were impressed with the youngster's performance last night, which saw him end up singing Coldplay's The Scientist.

Gary had changed the song at the very last minute however, giving Frankie just 24 hours to learn and rehearse a whole new track.

Louis Walsh had told the teenager after his performance last night: "When we saw you at bootcamp we all thought you were the one to beat… but you seem to have lost your swagger or something. It was just very, very average."

And Tulisa agreed, adding: "I have to be honest I wasn’t too sure about the song choice this week.

"The song choices are a little repetitive with you, it seems to be the same vibe… I’d love a bit of a shock factor from you. I know what you’re capable of so I’d like to see the best you can give. I think you are capable a lot more."

Speaking to Olly Murs and Caroline Flack on spin off Xtra Factor last night, Gary admitted: "I felt really guilty about changing Frankie’s song this week."

But he added: "I thought he had much more of a shot with this track and do you know what, I knew he’d pull it off."
