X Factor boy group The Risk have become the second of this year's bootcamp bands to be threatened with law suit over their name. Girl four piece Rhythmix are currently locked in a legal battle over their name, and now The Risk may also have a fight in their hands...
According to the Daily Star, US rock band The Risk are planning on suing show bosses over use of the name. The trio, formed in 1983, have released five albums in the US and tour regularly.
Frontman Mark Le Gallez told the newspaper: “We’ve got a prior claim to that name.”
Rhythmix have also been threatened with legal action by a music charity sharing the same name, although a spokesperson brushed off the concerns.
