Ditched X Factor 2011 hopeful Luke Lucas has vowed to return to the show for another attempt, despite being devastated at being rejected by Gary Barlow this year. The 16-year-old was turned away by Gary Barlow and Robbie Williams at judges' houses earlier this month.
The pair both agreed that the talented teenager was too young for the competition, with Robbie suggesting the age limit for the show should be raised to 18.
Speaking to heat magazine this week however, Luke insisted he was old enough to go through to the live shows.
He said: “I don’t think 16 is too young. If people at 16 have a dream, they should chase it. If they want to go into this industry early, that’s their choice. All respect to Robbie and Gary, it’s their opinion, but I’m not agreeing with it.”
And the youngster vowed to return bigger and better next year.
“The X Factor, I just want to let you know you should be prepared, because I’m coming back! Make some room!”
