X Factor 2011 contestant Marcus Collins has spoken about how grateful he is to have been kept in the show by mentor Gary Barlow at the weekend. The cheeky Liverpudlian singer wowed with 'Moves Like Jagger' at the weekend, and was the first of the boys to be saved by Gary.
It was James Michael who left the show, after Gary also saved Craig Colton and Frankie Cocozza from the chop in Sunday's surprise twist.
Speaking to local paper Liverpool Echo, Marcus said: “My friends and family came to watch me perform. I loved it and I can’t wait to do it again.
“I’m so grateful to be in the competition. I’m just a regular lad from Liverpool and now I’m doing something I love. My life has taken a massive detour. It’s gone completely in a different direction than I dreamed it would.”
