X Factor 2011: £3k bet put on The Risk, but Janet Devlin is still favourite

The Risk

Bookies William Hill took their biggest single bet of this year’s show after a Bristol based customer placed £3,000 at 7/1 that group The Risk will win the programme - and if correct he will collect a cheque for £24,000. But despite the bet, it's still Ireland's Janet Devlin who is favourite.

The Risk are now 5/1 third favourites behind Janet Devlin who is the 5/2 favourite, followed by Misha Bryan at 7/2.

“£3,000 is a very big bet at this early stage and he is taking a real risk as Janet Devlin looks hard to beat,” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.

Sunday’s quadruple eviction was the biggest elimination betting night in X Factor history and Hills now offer 11/4 that Rhythmix are the fifth act voted off the programme.

William Hill X Factor Elimination: 11/4 Rhythmix, 3/1 Nu Vibe, 4/1 Sami Brookes, 11/2 Kitty Brucknell, 6/1 Johnny Robinson, 16/1 Sophie Habibis, 20/1 Marcus Collins, 33/1 Craig Colton, 33/1 Frankie Cocozza, 50/1 The Risk, 50/1 Misha Bryan, 100/1 Janet Devlin
