Tonight four X Factor acts face the chop, as the judges each kick one singer out from their own category. Speaking on last night's Xtra Factor after the finalists performed live for the first time, Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland, Tulisa and Louis revealed their immediate thoughts on who was at risk.
Gary said: “Everyone would agree that everything changed tonight. When people walked on that stage, it was like coming into another world. It was not swimming by a swimming pool, this was the X Factor stage and everything changed tonight and it was interesting to see how everybody dealt with that.”
As mentor to the girls, Kelly Rowland has by far the hardest decision, having to kick one of four very talented singers out of the competition.
She said: “Everybody have a hard decision but I just look at each and every one of my girls and I’m looking at the fact that they are four different characters, four different voices, they bring different things to the table and I’m just thinking that I want them here the whole time. It’s just going to be hard; I don’t know what I’m going to do.”
Tulisa on the other hand couldn't even bear to think about losing one of her acts already: “I am sad, I was so proud. I spent so much time with my acts, I’m talking laughs, jokes, dinners I really got emotionally attached to all of them and they’re not just my acts they’ve now become my friends and I don’t know how I’m going to say goodbye to one of them.
"That’s the truth honestly.”
And Louis insisted that he wouldn't be making any decision until the last minute: “It was an incredible show tonight and we saw so much real talent on TV, it was incredible. It was like a different level, I don’t know how we’re going to do it tomorrow night, I don’t know how we’re going to pick someone. I really don’t.
"None of us have made our decision, we’re going to sleep on it. We are taking this really, really seriously.”
The X Factor continues tonight on ITV1 as we find out who goes!
