X Factor 2011 contestant Craig Colton has teased his performance on tomorrow night's first live show will be "stunning" - assuming it all goes to plan! The cheeky Liverpudlian said he hoped his debut song of the live finals would be beautiful, but admitted to having nerves.
Speaking in his first video diary, the 22-year-old said: “The first week’s performance is hopefully going to be stunning.
“I’ve got a good idea so far of what’s going to happen and it sounds beautiful, so I’m told so if all goes well this could be a lovely performance, and hopefully it goes well.”
This weekend the final 16 contestants will be singing songs by UK and US artists, and they'll have to do their best as four of them will get the axe. In a shock twist, the judges will each have to kick out the weakest singer in their category.
Meanwhile Craig also spoke about his joy at making it to the live shows at all, even if it does all end as soon as Sunday night.
He said: “At the start of the competition at Judges’ Houses with Gary I honestly didn’t think I was through.
“I’d done a good performance with Halo and I thought I’d go out on a good note. And when he [Gary] said I was his secret weapon, I can’t explain the way that I felt, it was very emotional but it was like this big weight lifted off my shoulders, and it was probably the best moment I’ve had in my life.”
The X Factor starts tomorrow night at 7:30PM on ITV1.
