Axed X Factor 2011 groups Estrella and Girl v Boy have hit out at Tulisa for her comments on them on last night's show. Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Estrella complained after the feisty N-Dubz star branded them "too old fashioned".
Gemma Davies, lead singer of the Liverpudlian band who wowed the judges earlier this said she was “totally mystified” by the comments.
“When we found out that Tulisa was going to be our mentor, we were delighted," she explained. “She said the thing she loved about us was that we are a proper old-fashioned group who can sing, dance and perform.
“Then when we were called to stand in front of Tulisa to get our final verdict, she said she felt we were ‘too old-school’ and the public wouldn’t get us.”
The band members also complained that some groups were given preferential treatment and coaching, with Tulisa being particularly fond of a new group she formed form The Keys and Risk, dubbing them "her masterpiece."
Meanwhile duo Girl v Boy also hit out at the N-Dubz star: “Tulisa didn’t want to give us the time of day because we weren’t urban.”
Last night we saw Tulisa select Nu Vibe, The Risk, 2 Shoes and Rhythmix to take through to the live shows next weekend.
