She may have wowed the judges in her audition and at bootcamp, but Jade Richards finds it hard to win over Kelly Rowland's pal Jennifer Hudson on tonight's show. The Oscar winning actress and singer reckons the Scottish star needs more work before making the live shows.
The 21-year-old says before her performance for Kelly and Jennifer in LA: "This is like the most glamorous place I've ever been...the furthest I’ve been on holiday is like Benidorm...the fact that we're singing for a spot in the live finals...what an experience, what an opportunity.
"After the first audition and the comments I got from the judges,. which were amazing, I feel like it has put pressure on me to do equally as well... I don't want to let Kelly down at all, i really want to make her proud, she's always sort of been rooting for me, I really want to do this and change my life for the better, this is what I want to do."
Singing Bonnie Raitt's I Can't Make You Love Me, Jennifer isn't completely convinced. "I do think it was beautiful," she admits, but adds: "Although it was very beautiful i feel like there were some kinks that could’ve been worked out."
Speaking to Dermot, Jade says: "At the end of the day it's done now and there's nothing else I can do so I just have to hope that what I've done has been enough."
Has Jade done enough to win a place in the X Factor live shows? Tune into The X Factor tonight and tomorrow on ITV1.
