Hunky X Factor hopeful John Adams has revealed how his pupils were shocked to find out he could sing! The maths teacher wowed the judges with his voice at auditions in Wales earlier this month, performing a brilliant cover of Cannon Ball by Damien Rice.
With four yeses he failed to divide the panel, with Gary praising: "John that is one of my favourite songs of all time, and I hate people singing my favourite songs, because it always lets me down, you absolutely nailed that vocal!”
Speaking after his audition, John admitted: "Before I went on stage I was very nervous, I thought I'd be okay but my knees were shaking. I hope it didn't come across too much."
He continued: "The reaction overwhelming really, it's such a confidence boost for people who didn't know you to be standing.
"I've seen James Morrison [perform here], I've watched The X Factor tour and to be actually in the set... it feels like you've been sucked into the set."
But the 23-year-old added: "I told my pupils and they were surprised. They think I'm a maths geek, but they're really excited... maybe they'll be my fans!"
With great looks and talent to match will it add up (*cough*) for John at bootcamp?
The X Factor continues this weekend.
