Hunky maths teacher John Adams turns his attention away from his class room and to the stage on tonight's penultimate X Factor 2011 audition show, with the 23-year-old impressing Gary Barlow with a cover of Cannonball by Damien Rice.
"I’ve only been teaching a year, so it’s still quite a relatively new career," he says at the top of the show, "Obviously if I done well in The X Factor, I’ve love to follow the dream of becoming a singer."
The former Mr Wales adds: "Winning this competition would mean a lot to me I want people to know who I am, know my music, and for strangers to sing my songs, so I’ll hopefully go out and do my best."
On stage and it seems as though Tulisa is quite taken by John, flirting with him: "If I may so, you are a rather handsome young fellow."
After performing a note perfect version of Cannonball, Take That star [tag]Gary Barlow[/tag] is more than impressed.
He says: "John that is one of my favourite songs of all time, and I hate people singing my favourite songs, because it always lets me down, you absolutely nailed that vocal!"
Tulisa adds: "You have a beautiful tone, and I can see that you’re very nervous, but that can be worked on. You know, you can see that emotionally you’re very connected, your vocals were very emotional, I think you’ve got a lot of potential."
But what will Kelly and Louis think of [tag]John Adams[/tag]?
