A 35-year-old who auditioned for The X Factor was reduced to tears in an emotional X Factor audition earlier this week, we can reveal. The 29 stone performer explained to the panel how he had turned to food and comfort eating following setbacks in pursuing in his dream.
Keen to take on the challenge of The X Factor, the act told the panel he had lost nearly 6 stone prior to the competition and hoped that the show would not only help him become a big selling star but also lose more weight to become healthier.
In an amazing vocal performance, which will no doubt see comparisons drawn to Susan Boyle when the show returns later this year, the audition saw the single man on stage in tears as the panel delivered their verdict. Even Tulisa seemed to croak as she revealed her thoughts on the rendition of a classic track.
Meanwhile a male and female duo called Girl v Boy have been compared to X Factor 2007's Same Difference. The couple, who are currently engaged, were criticised by the panel for not having a connection with one another on stage. Performing Vanessa Calton's track '1000 miles' the cute pair however were complimented on their style, which they described as 'geek chic'.
An insider revealed to us: "Louis Walsh thought they could be the next Ashford & Simpson but Tulisa didn't know where they would fit in the market."
Louis Walsh upset one hopeful on Tuesday when he told them she'd only ever make a good backing singer. A source said: "The crowd were stunned by the putdown."
