So begins four months of nail biting tension, stress, limited sleep, apprehension, excitement and pure pleasure... welcome back The X Factor. I am known for my opinions about Reality TV shows, the X Factor by far being the biggest show I write about. Every Monday I will provide my insight into the acts to watch out for - and the ones to avoid!
I will also predict the finalists and, once the live shows begin, I will give my weekly thoughts on which two are set for the dreaded vote off and the act I believe will be sent home.
Once the audition shows come to an end, I will announce my official 'Midas' act, (A Midas act being the person/band I support during the show) advising who I think the final four will be, even before Bootcamp starts.
So as the 8th series (yes 8th!) begins this weekend, people are already asking me who to look out for and what I believe will happen.
Well, we start with 3 new judges, who join the irreplaceable Louis Walsh. So welcome on board Kelly Rowland, Tulisa Contostavlos and Take That legend, Mr Gary Barlow.
Will it work... to be honest, yes I think it will. Yes, it will take time to adjust to life without Simon Cowell, and I am sure he will still let us feel his presence, but as they say, life goes on.
What we can all see happening, and you don't need to be midas for this one, is, a novelty act doing well, a huge vote off shock during the live shows and one of the judges storming off during the auditions... just another series of X Factor then.
No spoilers, but during my visit to the auditions, shining stars that made their mark, are Chrissie Pitt and Kendro. Both very unique in their own way.
The X Factor starts on ITV this Saturday at 8pm and is followed on ITV at 9.15pm by the Xtra Factor, with new presenters Olly Murs and Caroline Flack.
It's Time To Face the music... are you ready? I am.
