Surprisingly the most interesting story over the past month is about one of the show's former judges, and not only that not a particularly interesting story either. Twitter was ablaze with rumours about Cheryl Cole's new blonde hair and the pictures of her do saw more than 10,000 people check out the site.
Rebecca Ferguson's interview with the News Of The World is next on our top 10 list, with the single mum of two saying she was in love with the 18-year-old. The confession proved controversial however, especially with the young One Direction fans...
The story behind Cheryl Cole's aforementioned blonde hair is next on our list. In fact, stories about Cheryl Cole's possible reunion with Ashley filled the Top 50 most read stories on the site last month, showing that people still can't get enough of the former X Factor judge.
The leak of Cher Lloyd's Swagger Jagger track is next, which found itself onto the internet a month before premiering on Radio 1. Cher however was not best pleased, moaning: “I’ve never been this upset ever! I worked so hard, and people wanna ruin it for me, if you wanted to hurt me you’ve done a great job.”
Our review of The X Factor auditions in Manchester is next on our top 10 list, with the three day stay in Manchester seeing Take That star Gary Barlow turn into Mr Nasty. He told one hopeful: "You are everything this competition doesn’t need. You have NO talent at all."
Reports that N-Dubz were preparing to split up following Tulisa's appointment as an X Factor judge also proved popular with our readers. Fortunately for fans of the group, Tulisa was quick to deny the rumours saying she would always be a part of the band.
It was reported earlier this month that Cheryl Cole was being forced to return to the USA in order to film some final scenes for the American version of The X Factor. It's currently understood that Cole will be introduced as a 'guest judge' on the series after being fired back in May.
Rapper Example found himself on the receiving end of a tongue lashing from X Factor 2008 winner Alexandra Burke on Twitter after he slagged off Cher Lloyd. The war of words quickly saw a number of other stars joining in, with The Saturdays' Rochelle blasting the 'Kickstarts' singer for his comment.
The drama surrounding Zayn and Rebecca's relationship continued when his ex Geneva Lane - also an X Factor finalist - gave an interview in which she blasted the One Direction singer. However Geneva later claimed the comments had be taken out of context, writing on Facebook: "I love Rebecca and i think they make a beautiful couple and I’m happy for the both of them."
Completing our top 10 most read articles is Cher Lloyd's premiere of her debut video 'Swagger Jaggger'. The track, released at the end of the month, has been poorly received by fans and critics with over 80,000 dislikes on video sharing website YouTube.
