X Factor 2010 runner up Rebecca Ferguson this morning spoke about her debut album on ITV1's Daybreak, saying she hopes it will inspire women. Revealing she had written a lot of the songs herself, Rebecca added she hoped the record would be powerful.
"The album for me is just a really heartfelt album," Rebecca said. "I am writing a lot of the music, I want it to be a really powerful album for women that they can just play and feel inspired."
Meanwhile the former X Factor finalist also gave her thoughts on Cheryl Cole's axe from the US show, saying: "I think she’s a strong girl and if it is true, she’ll get through it.
"I think she’s really strong, some of the things that I’ve known that she’s been through... I think she’s got that northern character, that Geordie grit. I think she’ll bounce back."
However 24-year-old Rebecca admitted that she and former mentor Cheryl hadn't been in touch since the show. "We haven’t kept in touch but I’m working so hard on my album and she’s obviously working really hard and I think you just lose touch sometimes," Rebecca said.
Rebecca Ferguson is currently dating One Direction member Zayn Malik.
