Cher Lloyd is to release her debut single, titled 'Swagger Jagger' this August, it has been revealed. The youngster's debut album will then follow on September 12, according to the latest reports. Cher's album, which can be pre-ordered now, was original due for an August release.
It is understood the release date has been pushed back in order to improve the quality of the record, which could well feature guest lyrics from Rihanna and Busta Rhymes.
"We are exploring exciting collaborations," a spokesperson for Simon Cowell's Syco label confirmed earlier this week.
Meanwhile a review of Cher's debut record revealed: "She calls her sound 'swag pop', but that doesn't even come close to describing the furious energy of what she's been working on. Yes, she's still rapping - faster and more aggressively - and she's fed in a lot of urban influences: some tracks have a southern stride, some take cues from UK hip-hop - one even has a huge, squelchy dubstep bassline.
"But it's all got kind of ingenious, princessy pop edge - think of soaring chorus, petulant spoken asides and single refrains that hark back to the rhythm and melodies of nursery rhymes."
Cher recently auditioned dancers for her debut music video.
