The re-vamped Britain's Got Talent panel may have recieved a mixed reaction from the media following it's debut last week, however judge Michael McIntyre has accquired a new fan in Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell.
Speaking to the Mirror, singer Halliwell revealed an unusual crush on the comedian, stating:
"I have the most ridiculous TV crush on Michael McIntyre. I fell in love watching him on 'Britain's Got Talent'. I want to apologise to his wife, and tell her that I'm saying this from a pure, unpredatory place."
According to the newspaper, the singer is a fan of McIntyre's judging style, continuing:
"I think Michael's brilliant on that show - he totally stole it on his first week. Michael's completely different to Simon Cowell and it's not easy to step into somebody else's shoes, but he's helped refresh the show and made it more exciting."
Geri is a seasoned talent show judge herself, appearing on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, and as a guest judge in place of pregnant Dannii Minogue during the last season of The X Factor, however was widely panned by critics, and booed by the audience of the Glasgow auditions.
It appears Halliwell is not alone with her crush on McIntyre, who has become somewhat of an unlikely sex symbol since his rise to fame, appearing in Heat magazine's list of 'weird crushes' at number 7 in 2009.
