Radio 1 DJ has ruled out a stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house on Channel 5 this summer - saying he would never take part in such a show "in a million years". The voice of the Sunday chart countdown told the Press Association at an awards bash that he'd only do reality telly for charity.
"If I am going to do reality, it's always going to be for a cause, going to Kenya for Comic Relief or Fame Academy for Comic Relief, otherwise I'm not really into the self-promotion," he said.
Reggie was the at the prestigious Sony Radio Academy awards show, where his chart show is competing for the gong of 'Best Music Programme'. Speaking about the nomination, Reggie added: "If I've got it I've got it, if I haven't, I haven't. For me it's just a massive honour.
"It's the first time I've been nominated for a Sony and the first time the charts has been nominated in over a decade, it's a huge compliment. I love doing the show and long may it continue."
Celebrity Big Brother returns to screens in August on Channel 5 after the broadcaster signed a two-year deal with programme makers Endemol to bring the reality hit back from the dead.
