Britain's Got Talent 2011: Dean 'Midas' Maynard gives us his view on the upcoming series

Britain's Got Talent

With just a week to go now until Britain's Got Talent comes buzzing back onto our telly screens, TellyMix's regular reality telly predictor Dean 'Midas' Maynard gives us his view on the upcoming series and he hopes for the 2011 programme. With news already of some of the dangerous acts on the show, it's set to be a great run...

Since 2007 Britain's Got Talent has given it's Reality TV sibling The X-Factor a good run for its money and created not only loads of household names but has sold millions of albums & generated thousands of concert ticket sales. The show was created by the legend that is Simon Cowell and had gone from strength to strength and on April 16 it starts its fifth series

Since her runner up slot in 2009, Susan Boyle has sold over 2,340,000 million albums in the UK alone and had 2 Number 1's in the UK and US. Other big sellers include 2007 talent winner Paul Potts, Andrew Johnston, Connie Talbot, Escala and Faryl Smith.

The show also wins award after award and it's hosts, Ant & Dec are nearly always winning the best presenters trophy, getting the gong for a record 10th year at January's National Television Awards.

Meanwhile the two new judges of David Hasslehoff and Michael McIntyre should shake things up in 2011 as they join regular Amanda Holden on the panel.

For me personally, I am hoping for some fresh new talent, like a comedian or magician. Don't get me wrong I love the singers and the dancers but we need something different on this new series.

I have also been lucky enough to personally support some top acts on Britain's Got Talent, these include Damon Scott, Escala, Shaun Smith and ReConnected - find out more on my site!

In a few weeks, once the new series is up and running I will back with my thoughts, predictions and my acts to watch. Until then, thanks for taking time to read this and keep safe.
