There's been many names linked to Celebrity Big Brother in the last few days after Channel 5 confirmed the show would be returning, and today 18-year-old pole dancer Karima El Mahroug joined that list. The "celebrity" (if you can call her that) became known after an alleged fling with Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi.
The Daily Star claims the youngster became an "overnight international sensation" over the claim (we must have missed that) and is now being eyed by Channel 5 bosses as a possible Celebrity Big Brother contestant. "She’s got everything we’re looking for. She’s sexy, up-front, been linked to major celebrities and been caught up in controversy," a source told the tabloid.
The paper also continues to claim that the likes of US legend Charlie Sheen and former Harrods boss Mohamed Al Fayed are also being lined up, together with actress Joanna Lumley and boxing star Ricky Hatton. Despite saying she'd never go on the show, Peaches Geldof is also in the mix. As are The Only Way Is Essex stars Sam Faiers and Amy Childs.
Last night former Big Brother 8 winner Brian Belo said he wanted the new series to be sexier than ever before, adding that there was no reason the show couldn't run continuously like a soap.
