David Walliams to host world's first ever '24 hour panel show' for Comic Relief

Comedian and Come Fly With Me star David Walliams has been revealed as the host of the world's first ever 24 hour panel show, called '24 Hour Panel People'. The programme, which will be streamed live over the internet on March 5 and 6, will be a special one-off for Comic Relief.

Joining Walliams in his challenge will be some of the nation's top comedians celebrating some of the most famous and best loved panel shows from Telly and radio, including Have I Got News For You, Celebrity Juice, They Think It's All Over, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Just A Minute and many more.

A huge team of comics will rotate throughout the course of the marathon quiz, with names such as include Sean Lock, Jason Manford and Leigh Francis already confirmed.

Talking about the show, David Walliams said: "This is an amazing challenge. I just hope I don't fall asleep or burst into tears."

The show will be broadcast live at bbc.co.uk/rednoseday on March 5 and 6 before being edited into five 30 minute shows, all of which will be shown on BBC Three in the lead up to Comic Relief on March 18.
