Deal Or No Deal producers Endemol Shine UK have today launched a new quiz app based on the hit Channel 4 gameshow.
Players of 'Deal Or No Deal - Noel's Quiz' will open 22 boxes featuring different sums of money in their quest to track down the (virtual) £250,000 top prize.
However, in a fresh twist to the format, they will also face several rounds of quiz questions that can improve their chances of beating the Banker.
Over 3,000 questions are included, covering subjects ranging from music and film to trivia about the show - with correct answers earning 'power-ups' that can reveal which amounts are hidden inside the boxes.
It is fronted by a cartoon version of Deal host Noel Edmonds, who commented: "I’ve lost count of the number of Deal or No Deal fans who have stopped me in the street to ask how they can get to play the game.
"With this app they can take the Walk of Wealth wherever and whenever they like and I can’t wait for them to Spank The Banker on it."
The app - which was developed in-house at Endemol UK - is now available for free for iOS and Android devices. Users can obtain extra help by buying 'lifelines' and 'boosters' as optional in-app purchases.
One of Endemol's most popular formats globally, Deal Or No Deal will reach its tenth anniversary in the UK later this year, having first broadcast in October 2005.
Richard Osman - creative director at the company and co-host of its BBC One smash Pointless - recently spilled the beans on Deal's longest-held secret by confirming the Banker's identity as producer Glenn Hugill.
