John Lewis has unveiled its 2019 Christmas advert – but what’s the song featured?

The 2-minute long spot was revealed this week, starring excitable friend, Edgar.

John Lewis say of the latest of their now traditional Christmas adverts: We’re excited to share the festive tale of a little girl and her excitable friend, Edgar. #ExcitableEdgar

“Our story this year is all about the magic of friendship and how one thoughtful gesture can make all the difference.

“Rdgar’s excitement around the festive season can often lead to fiery consequences, but Ava sparks an idea for the perfect present to help him light up Christmas in his own special way ”

The song featured on the advert is Can’t Fight This Feeling by Bastille frontman Dan Smith, a cover of the 1985 REO Speedwagon song.

The music from the John Lewis advert is expected to be released for download and streaming from November 22.

The advert will have its TV premiere on ITV during The X Factor: Celebrity live shows on Saturday night.

On social media, many have reacted to the clip suggesting its one of John Lewis’ best.

“Not even 7:30am and I’m bloody crying over the John Lewis Christmas ad ? ?” one user wrote.

Another added: “Not sure watching the John Lewis Christmas advert as soon as I woke up was a good idea. Won’t be able to stop thinking about Edgar all day
