Megan McKenna is looking hard to beat on The X Factor: Celebrity.
X Factor’s new Celebrity series is heading into it’s third week of live shows with stars from the world of music, sport, TV and social media taking to the stage in a bid to win a recording contract.
Bookies BoyleSports have seen a steady increase in support for reality TV star Megan McKenna with her odds crumbling further into 4/9 from 8/13 making her the clear favourite.
The Only way Is Essex Star has already released an album and writes her own songs so it’s no surprise to see her leading the market.
Meanwhile, V5 - a group made up of social media influencers - are swapping Instagram stories for live performances in the hope of translating ‘likes’ into votes and winning over the judges. The group who boast a combined online following of 11 million and over 250 million views on YouTube are the 6/1 second favourites.
In the first of the programme’s live shows, Vinnie Jones sang a rendition of “Everybody Needs Somebody” by The Blues Brothers, securing a standing ovation from the audience and prompting chants of “Vinnie”. The footballer-turned actor is 16/1 from 20/1 to win the X Factor Celebrity crown.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “Megan McKenna has been performing brilliantly and she has even been singing songs that she wrote herself.
"We have been forced to cut her price into 4/9 from 8/13 as the punters keep backing her to win that record deal with Simon Cowell’s Syco Records.”
Meanwhile, with at least one more contestant leaving this weekend, it seems as though Martin's time in the competition is finally up.
Although he's been saved twice now by the judges, he's a 100/1 shot to win the competition.
