X Factor Celebrity RECAP! Watch all the performances from second episode

Here’s a full recap of the latest episode of The X Factor: Celebrity this weekend.

The X Factor 2019 continued tonight (October 19) with its brand new Celebrity format.

This year sees familiar faces from the world of music, film, sport, television and social media fighting for the chance to be crowned The X Factor 2019 Champion in The X Factor: Celebrity, winning a life changing record deal.

Tonight saw the competition continue as a second batch of celebrity hopefuls went out of their comfort zones as they took to the stage in Malibu.

Hoping to make the live shows back in London, the celebs performed for this year’s X Factor judges – Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh – and a range of guests from the music industry.

OLIVIA OLSON

Song choice: Khalid – Location / The Beatles – Come Together

Olivia is an actress and the child star of Love Actually.

After Olivia’s first performance, Simon commented: “I loved the song but that’s not an audition I would remember. You’re better than that.”

Following a second song, Nicole told Olivia: “You have some great potential but you need to work on that stage presence.”

JONNY LABEY

Song choice: Portugal. The Man – Feel It Still

Jonny is an actor best known for his role in EastEnders as Paul Coker

Following his first performance, Jonny ended up performing an impromptu duet with Grammy award winning music producer David Foster, singing Feeling Good.

Louis responded: “That was great, I can see you singing in Vegas.”

 

MEGAN MCKENNA

Song choice: Original song (Everything But You)

Megan is a reality TV personality who has appeared on TOWIE and Big Brother.

After Megan performed, Nicole said: “Thank you so much for being so vulnerable and brave to grace us with your story. You have a beautiful voice.”

Simon added: “All I can tell you is, you’ve made our job even more difficult so congratulations.”

 

RICKI LAKE

Song choice: James Bay – Us

Ricki is an American actress and chat show host

“You sang it earnestly and honestly with all your heart,” Nicole told Ricki after her audition.

“That was great, great,” added Simon.

Song choice: Lizzo – Juice

A five piece group made up of social media influencers Sofia Oliveira, Alondra Martinez, Laura Buitrago, Natalie Valerin and Wendii.

Nicole praised the group’s performance: “I love that song, you look gorgeous, it was so good.”

Louis added: “Really well done, the world needs a new girl band I think we’re going to see a lot of you.”

VICTORIA EKANOYE

Song choice: The Animals – The House of the Rising Sun

Victoria is a Coronation Street star who played Angie Appleton

“I loved every bit of it, every single note,” Louis said of Victoria’s audition.

Nicole added: “You have such a beautiful presence about you. I love you because you took it. It was your chance and you took it.”

“I think the song was stunning. It was a great, great performance” agreed Simon.
