X Factor-winning boyband Rak-Su have reportedly been dropped by RCA Records after failing to maintain chart success.
The four-piece group were one of the most buzzworthy acts on the ITV talent contest in 2017, impressing viewers with their slick performances and original music.
After beating Grace Davies to win series fourteen, they immediately signed to Simon Cowell's Syco label and released 'Dimelo'.
The song - which, unusually for an X Factor winner's single, featured extra star power from Wyclef Jean and Naughty Boy - charted at number two.
A self-titled EP followed in February 2018, before their track 'I Want You To Freak' reached number 39 last September.
Two months later, they reportedly moved from Syco to its Sony stablemate RCA following a management clash.
Since then, they have released another EP, 'Rome', and two more singles 'Yours or Mine' and 'Rotate (Clockwise)' - but none of them made a dent on the charts.
Now, according to The Sun, chiefs have decided to part ways with Rak-Su, believing their "moment has passed".
"It’s a tough time to be in pop and the buzz for Rak-Su fizzled out fast," a source said.
"They haven’t delivered the huge chart singles which bosses were convinced they would, despite being so popular on the show.
"The feeling is that their moment has passed and it’s gong to be tough to revive it."
Despite the setback, Rak-Su will remain together and seek new opportunities elsewhere.
They had put out material prior to The X Factor, independently releasing EP 'Flights n Feels' in 2016.
"The boys are determined though and are planning to continue as a band, trying to get a record deal elsewhere," the mole added.
Rak-Su now join the long line of X Factor champions who have struggled to make it with a major label.
Currently, only James Arthur is still with Syco, as Little Mix also switched to RCA.
The most recent winner, Dalton Harris, has yet to release any music post-victory.
