Interior Design Masters spoilers

In tonight's latest episode, this week's task is all about designing for small spaces - and where better to test the designers on this than a student halls of residence? Each designer is given a small studio to design that must allow room for sleeping, studying and socialising.

The designers are divided into two teams, and told there's a twist to the task: as well as revamping the student studios, they also have to redesign a student kitchen on a very tight budget.

With only two days to complete their makeovers, they need to decide how to make the best use of their time to ensure they get their studios finished, but also to complete the shared kitchen on time.

As the task progresses, it soon becomes apparent that the designers are taking a very different approach to the rooms, with some going super ambitious and completely changing the footprint of the spaces, while others play it safe, sticking to a simpler but less ambitious plan.

With the prize almost in sight, some of the designers are feeling the pressure, and are desperate to prove they’ve got what it takes. If their designs go pear shaped their time on the show could be up, and their dreams up in smoke.

Helping Michelle this week is guest Judge Sophie Robinson. Renowned for her love of bold patterns as well as bright colours, Sophie is a highly regarded British interior stylist, designer and journalist.

Judging the studios, Michelle and Sophie are surprised by the different approaches they find, with some designers having made impressive and brave design choices, while others have had less success.
