Glee star Kevin McHale confirmed for Celebrity X Factor

Glee star Kevin McHale has signed up for Celebrity X Factor.

Kevin is best known for his role as Artie Abrams in the hit US TV series Glee between 2009 and 2015.

He has signed up for The X Factor’s upcoming celebrity special as one of 14 celebrity contestants.

As well as acting, he has also co-hosted the Teen Choice Awards with Demi Lovato, and currently hosts a podcast called Showmance whilst focusing on perusing a solo music career.

Kevin’s first foray into music was in pop boy band, NTL, who opened for The Pussycat Dolls on their tour. Since then he has released solo EP’s and wants to continue performing on a bigger scale and eventually have a music label of his own.

Speaking ahead of the launch episode, Kevin has shared his music inspirations which range from Frank Ocean and Billie Eilish to Beyonce and Ricky Martin.

Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh return to The X Factor for its new Celebrity series with Dermot O’Leary hosting the series.

The celebrity singing sensations lined up to sing for Simon and co in LA are made up of ‘The Overs’: Journalist, Martin Bashir; Talk Show host, Ricki Lake; Quiz show champion, Jenny Ryan and Actress, Victoria Ekanoye.

The X Factor: Celebrity starts on ITV at 8:35PM on Saturday October 12.

The Celebrity series will be followed by a special All Stars series later in the year, with details still to be confirmed.
