Love Actually actress Olivia Olson is reportedly in talks to join the Celebrity X Factor line-up.
Olivia became a child star at age eleven when she appeared in the hit 2003 romcom, playing Joanna Anderson.
One scene sees her perform Mariah Carey’s festive classic ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ – with a voice so powerful that it amazed director Richard Curtis.
The filmmaker once revealed that he gave her training to make her vocals more believable for audiences.
Now Olivia could be about to face a much harsher critic – Simon Cowell.
According to The Sun, bosses have offered her a place on The X Factor’s upcoming celebrity spin-off as they look to sign an unexpected name.
“Bosses wanted to vary the line-up with a mixture of celebrities and thought Olivia would be a great shout,” the newspaper’s source said.
“They have been in talks with her and it’s looking likely she will sign up for the show.
“She has a fantastic voice and as soon as the clip from Love Actually is shown, people will instantly recognise her.”
The American actress returned for TV sequel Red Nose Day Actually, part of the Comic Relief fundraiser in 2017.
She voices Vanessa Doofenshmirtz in cartoon Phineas & Ferb, and Marceline the Vampire Queen in Adventure Time.
Olivia has also pursued her interest in music, releasing an album titled ‘Nowhere Land’ last year.
Simon intends to air his new celebrity edition of The X Factor this autumn in place of the regular version.
It comes thirteen years after he anned similar spin-off X Factor: Battle Of The Stars after one series.
This time, the Syco boss plans to up the ante by offering the winner a big-money recording contract.
