ITV has announced Tenacity, a new six-part thriller from screenwriter Peter A. Dowling.
Inspired by J.S. Law’s novel, Tenacity, the series is created and written by Peter A. Dowling, whose credits including Flightplan and Reasonable Doubt.
A teaser reads: "When a dead submariner is discovered aboard the British nuclear submarine, Tenacity, disgraced military detective Danielle ‘Dan’ Lewis is sent to investigate the accident.
"But when the case turns to murder it puts her in conflict with Tenacity's crew, her Navy superiors, and into the crosshairs of an assassin who has infiltrated her nuclear base with an agenda that will not only destroy national security but kill Dan and everyone she loves."
The series will be produced by Bad Wolf and Entertainment One.

"We are excited to have this on ITV and think it will be addictive viewing.”
Bad Wolf co-founders Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner (His Dark Materials, A Discovery of Witches) will executive produce alongside Polly Williams on behalf of Entertainment One.
Filming on Tenacity will start in 2020 with casting to be confirmed in due course.
