The singer rose to fame on the ITV singing show back in 2009, where he finished as runner up to Joe McElderry.

Following the release of Olly’s new greatest hits album, he’s now hitting the road on tour.

And he is promising fans something special from the stage shows.

“The last ten years have been a roller coaster of emotions, but incredible.” he told The Sun newspaper. “It’s such an achievement for me to come from a reality star background and sustain that for ten years.

“I’m so proud of that and the only reason it’s possible is because I have great fans. I want to make sure the tour is a real celebration of that and that story, so the show is going to be really different from what they’ve seen before.”

Olly teased: “It will be something really sentimental for them to take away and remember, and go ‘wow, that was a moment’….

“I don’t want to reveal too much, but there’s going to be some real special moments throughout the show which I’m really excited for fans to be part of. It’s going to be a fantastic tour!”

Olly will be joined on the tour by recent X Factor winners Rak-Su.

Meanwhile, Olly has ruled out a return to The X Factor for its rumoured All Stars series.

“I’ve heard about this,” he told This Morning. “I’ve been asking everyone at ITV if they can give me a clue what’s going on.

“I wouldn’t go back on it, no.”

Olly’s decision isn’t surprising, given that he now has judging experience as a coach on rival show The Voice UK.

However, he does support his ex-mentor Simon Cowell’s plan to rest the main version of The X Factor for a year.

He continued: “If they are going to take a break from the show, I think that’s a good thing.

“It does need a little break from what it was doing, I think Simon has seen that and I’m glad.

“I love the show more than anyone, it changed my life. I watch it like everyone else, and I’ve always felt something’s not clicking right, so it does need a break.”
