The X Factor 2018 winner’s song has been revealed tonight and released by Dalton Andre Harris.

In a big twist this year, the X Factor 2018’s winners song will be a duet.

Dalton Andre Harris has teamed up with former X Factor winner James Arthur on the song, originally released by Frankie Goes to Hollywood.

After Dalton was announced the winner, he and James gave a live performance of the track before its immediate release online to download and stream.

As in past years, all UK record company profits from the X Factor winner’s single will be donated to children’s hospice charities, Together for Short Lives and Shooting Star Chase.

It’s The X Factor UK’s 11th charity release. Simco Limited will donate 100% of its profits from the sale of each download and in respect of all audio streaming of the single, and the Chancellor has also agreed to donate the VAT, in each case to be shared equally by Together For Short Lives, registered charity no. 1144022 and Shooting Star Chase, registered charity no. 1042495.

Simco Limited’s donation will include at least 20p for each download sold in the UK.

Dalton Andre Harris was crowned the winner of The X Factor 2018 tonight, beating Scarlett Lee in the final showdown. Anthony Russell finished the series in third place.

Dalton has been one of the standout contestants across the series, having been the highest charting X Factor act on iTunes. Dalton has had four of his songs enter the iTunes Top 30 so far, including I Have Nothing, Creep and California Dreamin’, while his Big Band Week performance of Beyoncé’s Listen peaked at No. 15, the highest peak of the series.
