Simon Cowell thinks Dalton Andre Harris is the one to beat on The X Factor this weekend.

The music mogul thinks his own act Scarlett Lee is the underdog going into the final on Saturday.

Alongside Scarlett and Dalton, Anthony Russell make up the finalists left in the running to be crowned The X Factor 2018 winner.

Appearing on ITV’s This Morning on Friday, Simon was quizzed on who he thought would win.

“I think everybody’s got to beat Dalton at this point,” Simon admitted.

He added: “It probably will and it should come to down to what happens on the night. They’ve all got great songs. It’s gonna be exciting.”

However there is some good news for Scarlett.

A late gamble has been developing on her winning X Factor this weekend according to bookmakers Ladbrokes.

Simon’s act has seen her odds slashed in half to 5/1 (from 10/1) after heavy support in the last few days, and the move for Scarlett leaves odds-on favourite Dalton to see his price of winning drift out to 2/7.

Anthony is the outsider of the trio at 8/1 with the bookies.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Punters have been backing Scarlett continually over the last week, and since news emerged of her duet with Leona Lewis, fans are seemingly convinced if there’s to be an upset it’ll be Scarlett causing it.”

The X Factor 2018 final airs Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2.

Saturday’s show will run for two hours between 7:30PM and 9:30PM while Sunday’s instalment will air between 7:30PM and 9PM.

A number of guest acts have been confirmed for the final. They will include former X Factor winner James Arthur together with Anne Marie, Ellie Goulding and George Ezra.

Nile Rogers will also be singing, having previously appeared on the show twice this year as a guest judge.

Another act confirmed for the final is Take That, who are rumoured to be reuniting with their former bandmate and current X Factor judge Robbie Williams.
