The original gang of four – Simon Bird (Will), James Buckley (Jay), Joe Thomas (Simon) and Blake Harrison (Neil) – will be back together for one night only for a two hour studio show celebrating 10 years of futile teenage crushes, clunge, fwends and a lot of drinking as we look back on one of the most iconic sitcoms of recent years.

Featuring behind the scenes VTs, the story behind the show, surprise guests, celebrity fans, unseen footage and plenty of embarrassing stories, The Inbetweeners 10th Birthday Party will be the ultimate treat for fans.

The Inbetweeners reunion special air date

The Inbetweeners: Fwends Reunited will air on New Year’s Day (Tuesday, January 1) at 9pm on Channel 4.

Channel 4 teased: “We’ll be reminiscing with the cast, introducing celebrity fans of the sitcom, looking back at the life lessons the show has taught us and of course paying tribute to the unforgettable lingo the show has given us.

“To celebrate those must see moments from Rudge Park and beyond, we’ll also be honouring the funniest moments across the three TV series and two films in the coveted Inbetweeners Awards where categories will range from Best Sex Scene and Best Bullshit to Best Ever Moment.”

Tom Beck, Channel 4’s Head of Live Events and Commissioning Editor for Entertainment added, “Will, Jay, Simon and Neil spent years failing to sneak into the best parties, so I’m very pleased to throw one that they’re definitely invited to. I just hope Will brings his Mum.”

Simon Wilson from co-producers Fudge Park added, “We can’t wait to throw The Inbetweeners the 10th Birthday Party they deserve, and we’re thrilled that the original four comedy superstars are joining us as guests of honour.”

Will Macdonald from co-producers Monkey Kingdom said: “The love for The Inbetweeners is huge, the kind of love that Jay would boast he’s had many times – big celebrities, millions of viewers and loving fans from across the globe. And it’s so exciting the boys will be back together to feel that love from all those people and enjoy it first-hand.

“What could possibly go wrong?”
