Brendan Murray says he'd love to duet with One Direction should he make The X Factor final.
Brendan is one of the final four contestants in Louis Tomlinson's Boys' category - and would love to sing with his mentor.
21-year-old Brendan from Galway, Ireland says One Direction were a "big part" of his teenage years growing up and thinks performing with them would be incredible.
In an interview with the Daily Mirror, Brendan was asked about his dream final duet and said: "It would be really cool if it was One Direction, because Louis is my mentor.
"They were a big part of my teenage years, something cool like that that will be remembered. I remembered the first time they sang with Robbie Williams - that stuck with me.
"He hasn't hinted at all. That's ideally what I would love. Something cool, something different, something people won’t expect."
Meanwhile, Brendan praised Louis' role as a mentor.
Brendan said: "He's been great. He’s been in the house everyday this week, its been amazing. He really does care about all four of us. He was in this position eight years ago so he knows how we're feeling."
Looking ahead to the first of the live shows on Saturday, Brendan went on: "I’m excited! At the moment I’m stuck on a song choice as I really want to make a good impression and I think it’s really important! I want to get it right in the first week!"
He added: "I’m still on a high from Judges houses, but I’m just looking forward to performing and singing every weekend. The competition is getting better every day at the moment so it’s going to be interesting!"
Joining Brendan in the live shows for the boys category are Anthony Russell, 28 from Liverpool, Armstrong Martins, 23 from London and Dalton Andre Harris, 24 from Jamaica.
The X Factor 2018 airs on ITV this Saturday at 8:25PM and Sunday at 8:00PM.
