The X Factor 2018 auditions tonight saw Richard Ryan singing for the judges.

The X Factor 2018 auditions continued this evening on ITV and here’s a first look clip.

Simon Cowell, Ayda Williams, Robbie Williams and Louis Tomlinson return behind the judges’ desk for the fifth episode of the new series.

This series will see the return of the arena auditions at The SSE Arena, Wembley, in front of the judges and a 4,000 strong audience.

One of those who makes the most of the crowd is Richard Ryan.

The 25 year old on call Firefighter from Kidderminster, Worcestershire sang Darkness classic I Believe in a Thing Called Love.

He ended up in the audience belting out the classic tune, in a bid to impress the judges.

Simon said no, but the other judges said yes.

With three yeses, Richard got through to the judge’s deliberation, where the judges will decide who gets to fight for a seat in the Six Chair Challenge.

He vowed to prove Simon and win him over.

For now, you can watch his audition in the video above.

Other acts this weekend include Tom Richards, who previously auditioned in 2010 with Louis Tomlinson, and Armstrong Martins who puts a spin on a High School Musical classic.

Also on Saturday’s show are the LMA Choir, made up of singers from Liverpool and rocker Giovanni Spano who splits the judges.

The X Factor 2018 airs Saturday, September 15 at 8:25PM on ITV and is back on Sunday night, September 16 at 8PM on ITV.
