ITV has unveiled a premiere trailer for the new series, which starts on Saturday, September 1.

The launch episode will air at 8PM before continuing the same time on Sunday.

This year sees three new X Factor 2018 judges as Ayda Williams, Robbie Williams and Louis Tomlinson join the show.

They’ll sit alongside returning Simon Cowell on the panel.

Simon said: “This new panel is all about optimism, everyone has a real passion for finding a new star. The three new judges bring a whole new energy and I’m excited.”

New judge Louis added: “The X Factor for me made a lot of sense. Development of artists is something I’ve been interested in for a long time.

“Having been on the show myself I know first-hand that the live shows are like nothing else you would experience. I’m looking forward to guiding auditonees through the process.”

Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh have left the show for good, while Sharon Osbourne will return to the panel for the live shows.

Dermot O’Leary will return to host the series, which will begin with the arena auditions after the room try outs were axed.

Filming took place earlier this year at Wembley Arena in London.

Following auditions, acts go straight through to six chair challenge with the bootcamp stage dropped.

Robbie said during filming: “So we’ve just done six chairs for the first time and everything previous to that has been a walk in the park.

“I honestly didn’t know what we were letting ourselves in for. The emotions you feel, the vibe from the audience, the ups and downs are incredible… there were some tough choices sending people back to where they come from or they stay on their journey to follow their dream.”

“It was as brutal if not more brutal than as you see on TV. I’m nervous about my category,” added Louis.
