The ITV soap aired an hour special, running between 7PM and 8PM, averaging 5.4 million viewers.
On BBC One and clashing with its soap rival, EastEnders dipped to 3.3 million viewers.
Holby City continued after with 3.2 million viewers before 2.8 million tuned in at 9PM for the latest episode of Our Girl.
On ITV, The Voice Kids dropped from a series high to a joint series low as 2.8 million watched the last round of auditions. The episode was 500,000 viewers down on Monday’s instalment.
This year the series will air nightly throughout the week on ITV, continuing tonight at 8PM with the start of the battle rounds. The live final airs this coming Saturday, July 21.
After, the new series of Long Lost Family began with 2.6 million watching.
