take me out over 50 special

Take Me Out has revealed its Over 50s special will air on ITV tonight.

Fresh from its tenth series, Take Me Out is celebrating its anniversary with an over 50’s special episode airing on ITV on Saturday 9th June 2018 at 8pm.

For one night only, Paddy McGuinness will work his match-making magic on a special line-up of ‘Flirty Thirty’ single Golden Girls, all looking for their ‘happily ever after’. Three fabulous older gentlemen will brave the love lift.

Host Paddy McGuinness said: “Proving that it’s never too late to date, I’ve gathered together 30 fabulous older ladies hoping to match with the silver fox of their dreams. It’s a really heart-warming show and a lot of fun.”

With seven weddings (soon to be eight!) and five babies, Take Me Out has played Cupid to many happy couples over the years and is the most successful dating format in the world, selling in 33 territories.

Braving the legendary love lift in tonight’s episode is 59 year old George, a Zumba instructor from Oxford. Next to face the 30 Golden Girls is 65 year old Lawrence, a hotel night manager based in Ibiza but originally from Barnsley. Last but not least down the lift is 65 year old Bill, a retired policeman from Saddleworth.

The Golden Girl line-up includes a former nun, an ex-girlfriend of Hollywood-heartthrob Jason Statham, and a single lady on the lookout for husband number six.

72 year old Merle from Folkestone tells Paddy she’s been married five times and is now on the lookout for husband NUMBER SIX! Paddy comments, “You’ve been married five times you little minx, is that why you need the scooter?!”

Paddy chats to 57 year old Maggie, a dance teacher who used to throw some shapes on Top of the Pops in the Eighties. Blonde bombshell Maggie reveals she can still do the splits, demonstrating her considerable skills to Paddy

Tune in to find out who will get themselves a date and be whisked away to the sunny Isle of Fernando’s.

The Over 50s special follows a 'gender swap' celebrity one-off earlier this year which saw reality star Chloe Sims and Olympic gymnast Claudia Fragapane head down the love lift to face a line up of 30 guys.

Take Me Out airs on ITV.

The Over 50s special airs on Saturday, June 9 at 8PM on ITV.
