Chat show stars Alan Carr and Graham Norton aren't going to be leaving our telly screens any time soon, with the pair both signing new deals worth £4 million to keep their shows on the air for years to come. The pair, who go head to head on Friday nights, will continue until at least 2014.
Alan Carr's Chatty Man programme has been renewed for four more series, following high profile signings including Jennifer Lopez. Tonight's episode will see the comic chat to Sir Bruce Forsyth and The X Factor's Louis Walsh.
A Channel 4 source told The Sun: "We took a risk and it's paid off. People love coming on his show and we get some top-flight guests. We've tied him down for two more years to stop anyone else getting him."
Meanwhile 48-year-old Graham Norton's deal will see him commit to 34 episodes of his show, as well as hosting the BAFTAs, Eurovision Song Contestant and other light entertainment shows.
A BBC source said: "Graham's been having a blast and he can't see himself going anywhere else.
"The BBC hasn't got loads of money to throw around so everyone is happy with it."
