TV presenter Helen Skelton and The Saturdays’ Vanessa White emerged from the ring victorious after taking part in the gruelling Celebrity Boxing challenge for Sport Relief 2018.

Last night in front of a live audience at MediaCityUK, Salford, Helen took on Love Island’s Camilla Thurlow and Vanessa triumphed over S Club 7’s Hannah Spearritt.

Helen said: “This has been tough as it’s involved taking on another personality – I have never hit anyone in the face. But I didn’t want to let my coach down, I wanted to try and do the sport justice and get the win.

“I have been helped by so many people and I did it for them. Boxing sums up what Sport Relief is about, people helping those who might not get support elsewhere.

“I have fallen for the sport. ”

Vanessa said: “The nerves started to kick in earlier today as the match was creeping up on me but I stayed focused and had that winners belt in my mind the whole time.

“I loved being able to put all my training with Charlie and the England Boxing team into action and it’s paid off – I won! I can’t believe it.

“It was tough but it makes it all worth it knowing that it was for such a good cause.”

Later, Ex-footballer Wayne Bridge was crowned victorious tonight after taking part in the challenging Celebrity Boxing challenge for Sport Relief 2018.

Wayne said: “I think as an ex sportsman I’ve always had that inner determination and competitiveness – and this bout definitely highlighted that!

“I wasn’t going to leave there without being victorious and I was focused on that from the start.
